Welcome to Camp Iwannarun
Camp Iwannarun is dedicated to create a youth running culture within the City of Fishers. It is a 10-day camp, working with all skill levels of a runner. The volunteer staff is passionate of the sport, as they are coaches from the junior highs and YMCA in the area. Some Comments from Parents and Past Participants
"It was fantastic! Great introduction to new runners to all the different training aspects, plus games, yoga, core, and stretching. Different locations the second week were excellent. We have 3 more years of it and are looking forward to it!" -Greg Wright (Parent)
"My son enjoyed being challenged to improve his running and had a lot of fun doing it!"- Andrea O'Rouroke (Parent) "Great camp - excellent way to get my son ready for the upcoming season! He also really enjoyed the end-of-day activities each day!" - Jason VanVooren (Parent) |
"I attended Camp Iwannarun for 2 years and volunteered for 2 years as well. I loved it because in those two weeks, I became so much faster and stronger with my running than I was before. I also had so much fun with all of the crazy games Coach Ziino came up with!!" -Mia Contino (Camper '14 and '15; High School Mentor '16 and '17)
"Over the past few years I have been both a camper and a mentor at Camp Iwannarun and both experiences have been equally rewarding. This camp is for any and all aspiring runners who are looking to get in shape or train for their fall season. The coaching staff is not only extremely experienced, but incredibly supportive in whatever step of your running journey you're on. Running is one of the most rewarding activities you can participate in, and what better time to start than Camp Iwannarun?" -Jake Brattain (Camper '14 and '15; High School Mentor '16 and '17) "I really enjoyed going to Camp Iwannarun. I had a really good experience when I ran. The two weeks that this camp was one of my favorite part of my summer. During camp we worked on our form and strength. Also, I liked that every time we ended the day with a fun activity. One of my favorite things at camp is how everybody got along and worked as a team. This camp really helped me and made me faster." -Juli Baron (Camper '16 and '17) |
